There are many ways to help LASSN to deliver our aims of supporting, empowering and integrating asylum seekers and refugees in Leeds.
If none of these are possible, then there’s still loads you can do to lend support to our cause.
- Follow us on Twitter or Facebook, and help us get our messages to a wider audience.
- Read our website, and find out more about the reality of seeking refuge in Leeds.
- Use the information you find to challenge some of the myths about migration.
- Be kind to strangers, and give people the time of day.
We think all of this helps to make Leeds a kinder, safer, more welcoming place – and we’re grateful for any support you can offer. Thank you.

Volunteer
326 people volunteered with LASSN in 2019/20. Our Volunteering Programme has been awarded the Leeds Volunteer Centre Kitemark
There are lots of ways you can volunteer with LASSN. Find out about more by clicking here
In exchange for your time and enthusiasm, we offer high quality training and support, and the chance to make a real difference to someone’s life.
If you are thinking about becoming a volunteer, then please complete our online application form and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
Due to the nature of our work, we ask that our volunteers are willing to commit to volunteering with us for at least 6 months.
If you don’t think you can make this commitment, then you may find something more suitable via the Leeds Volunteer Centre.
If you have a particular interest in volunteering with asylum seekers and refugees, a comprehensive list of volunteering opportunities can be found at http://helpinleeds.com
Have a look on the individual project pages to see the kind of work involved.
