326 people volunteered with LASSN in 2021/22. Our Volunteering Programme has been awarded the Leeds Volunteering Quality Mark

Volunteering is central to everything LASSN does, and there are lots of ways to help us out. LASSN  volunteers meet up with and socialise with refugees (Befrienders), help someone to learn English (Tutors), mentor them through college, or help someone find and maintain a place to live (Hosts, Coordinators, Grace/Eva’s House Volunteers).

In exchange for your time and enthusiasm, we offer high quality training and support, and the chance to make a real difference to someone’s life.

Due to the nature of our work, we ask that our volunteers are willing to commit to volunteering with us for at least 6 months.

If you are thinking about becoming a volunteer, then please complete our application form below and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.

Other Opportunities

If you don’t see anything that grabs you, or if you are unable to make the minimum 6 month commitment we ask of all volunteers, then you may find something more suitable via the Leeds Volunteer Centre.

If you have a particular interest in volunteering with asylum seekers and refugees, a comprehensive list of volunteering opportunities can also be found at http://helpinleeds.com
