If you believe in a Leeds that welcomes, supports and stands alongside asylum seekers and refugees – then becoming a Member of LASSN is a simple, meaningful way to show your support.
Why become a Member?
LASSN Members are people who actively support our mission: to support, empower, and integrate asylum seekers and refugees in Leeds. Membership is free, and open to anyone who shares our values and wants to help put them into action.
We already offer membership to our regular donors, volunteers, and the people we support – but we want our membership to fully reflect the wide community of people who make LASSN possible: people like you.
As a Member, you’ll:
- Stay connectedReceive our twice-yearly Members’ Newsletter, with deeper insights into the work we do – including stories from people we support, updates on volunteering, the latest changes to asylum policy, and reflections from our team and Trustees.
- Get involvedFind out about volunteering roles, fundraising ideas, events, campaigns and other ways to help.
- Have a voiceMembers can vote at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) – helping to shape the direction of LASSN by choosing who sits on our Board of Trustees. You can even stand for election as a Trustee yourself.

We’ll share more detailed updates about the asylum system, government policies, and how they affect people in Leeds – helping you stay informed and empowered to act.
