1. Everything we do starts with forming relationships of support between refugees, asylum seekers, volunteers and partnerships

How we create change

Change starts with relationships. We bring refugees and people seeking asylum together with local volunteers and partner organisations, so no one is facing things alone.

Through these relationships, people share knowledge, build connections, and learn how to navigate life in Leeds.

Over time, this builds confidence, trust, and a sense of belonging.

From there, people are better able to shape their own futures — and together, we help make Leeds a more welcoming place for everyone.

The why of LASSN

At LASSN, how we work is as important as what we do.
In these six short blogs, we share the values behind our approach, why relationships and trust come first, and what makes LASSN different from other refugee support projects.
