Donations to LASSN fund practical support for refugees in Leeds. Your money goes directly into frontline work, the people who make it happen, and the basics that keep our projects running safely and well.

Direct support for refugees
Your money covers the every day costs that make support possible.
Things like:
• Travel costs so people can attend appointments, classes, and groups
• Practical help to access healthcare, housing advice, and education
• Community activities that reduce isolation and build confidence
What this changes:
People can leave the house, attend key appointments, and take steps towards work, learning, and community life.

Volunteers: training & support
Volunteers are the backbone of LASSN – your donations help them do the job well
Things like:
• Training before volunteers start
• Ongoing support, supervisions and check-ins
• Resources for one to one support and group work
• Volunteer expenses and DBS checks
What this changes:
Volunteers feel confident and supported. People receive safe, consistent support.

Staff who keep the projects running
Your money pays for the people who coordinate support
Things like:
• Matching volunteers with participants
• Support coordination and follow-up
• Referrals and signposting
• Partnership working across Leeds
What this changes:
Support is joined-up, timely, and doesn’t fall through gaps.

Keeping the lights on keeps the work going
Things like:

• Insurance
• IT, Data protection and security
• Interpreting and translation costs
