LASSN is committed to equipping volunteers to do their role, which includes reimbursing reasonable expenses incurred by volunteers as they carry out their role. For full details of our expenses policy you can click here but here are a few examples of what most people claim for:

transport expenses to meet a learner/befriendee (we don’t usually refund taxis)
books/learning equipment for your learner
light refreshments for your learner/befriendee
contributions towards the cost of having someone stay in your home

We have tried to make claiming expenses as easy as possible. Just take a screenshot/photo showing your receipt and click on the button below to complete a form and attach your receipt.

You’ll get an email confirming your form submission and then within a few weeks the money will land in your bank account.
