Session 3 is specific to the type of volunteering you wish to do.

Befriending: Monday 22nd May 10-2pm (lunch provided)

Grace Hosting: Thursday 1st June 1-5pm

English at Home: Monday 5th June 10-4pm (lunch provided)

Please contact us with any questions.

More than 300 people volunteered with LASSN in 2015/16.

Our current volunteering roles are as befrienders,  short stay hosts, longer stay hosts, and hosting coordinators.

In exchange for your time and enthusiasm, we offer high quality training and support, and the chance to make a real difference to someone’s life.

Due to the nature of our work, we ask that our volunteers are willing to commit to volunteering with us for at least 6 months.

If you don’t think you can make this commitment, then you may find something more suitable via the Leeds Volunteer Centre.

If you have a particular interest in volunteering with asylum seekers and refugees, a comprehensive list of volunteering opportunities can be found at http://helpinleeds.com

Our Volunteering Programme has been awarded the Leeds Volunteer Centre Kitemark

Have a look on the individual project pages to see the kind of work involved.

How can you become a volunteer?
