We would like to invite you to become a Member of LASSN and help us to help those who come to our city seeking peace and safety.
We help asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants at risk of harm to make a life for themselves in Leeds. We offer Befriending, where volunteers offer friendship to an asylum seeker and help them navigate life in the city, as well as to find work, volunteers who teach English at Home and Grace Hosts, who are able to offer emergency accommodation to an asylum seeker. We also help to run a Hardship Fund where we offer £25 to those who are in a desperate situation – they’re in Leeds but with no money, nothing to eat and nowhere to sleep.
For just £5 a month you can become a Member of LASSN and £5 a month can make a big difference to work we do*!
Being a LASSN Member allows you to:
- show your support for our work supporting asylum seekers and refugees in Leeds
- get regular updates on our work
- vote at LASSN’s Annual General Meeting
Your support would mean a great deal to us. To become a member please complete an application form, or for more information email our Director Jon at [email protected].
Thank you
*Membership is free for asylum seekers, refugees, volunteers, and people who are unwaged. We ask that everyone else donates £5 a month.
